Frequently asked questions

How does the “Which country is right for me” quiz work?

Each answer gives weight to a criterion (season, budget, beaches, safety…). Each country gets a score per criterion, then a weighted average: you get a match percentage and the reasons behind it. The ranking updates as soon as you change an answer.

Does the result take my passport into account?

Yes. The entry rules (visa-free, eVisa, visa on arrival or consular visa) come from the IziVisas visa database for your nationality, and a country that refuses entry to your nationality is never suggested. To settle, the tool also looks for free movement (European Union, ECOWAS, Gulf states, Mercosur) and published long-stay visas: digital nomad, retirement, working holiday, study, investment.

Why two journeys, travel and live?

Because the questions are not the same. A trip is about the season, distance, budget on the ground and what you want to do. A move is about the long-stay visa, the monthly cost of living, the everyday climate, healthcare, schools, jobs and taxes.

Where does the country information come from?

Country profiles (beaches, seasons, costs, safety, healthcare…) are built by the IziVisas team from public sources and reviewed country by country. Countries at war are never suggested. These profiles simplify realities that vary from region to region: always check official travel advice before you go.

Is the PDF report free?

Yes, like the whole tool, with no sign-up. It includes your profile, your ranking, a detailed page for the top five countries with their links, and a QR code to find your results online.

Are my answers stored?

No. The ranking is calculated in your browser. Only your nationality is remembered on your device so you do not have to enter it again. The share link contains your answers: you decide who to send it to.

Method and sources

The tool combines two sources. Visas and settling-in routes come from the IziVisas database that powers the site’s visa pages, updated every week. Profiles of the 241 inhabited countries and territories (beaches, mountains, month-by-month seasons, cost, safety, healthcare, languages, taxes) are built by the IziVisas team. Countries at war or in collapse are never suggested. Indicative results: always check the official requirements before you go.
