Rwandan nationals must obtain a Schengen short-stay (Type C) visa to travel to Norway. An ordinary Rwandan passport does not grant visa-free entry to the Schengen Area.

Processing usually takes 15 to 45 days; apply up to six months in advance and at least 15 days before departure. As Rwanda is a yellow-fever risk area, keep an international vaccination certificate, which is frequently required at borders.
