Do I need a visa for Indonesia from Morocco?
Discover visa requirements for your trip
Moroccan nationals need a visa for Indonesia, obtained simply online through the official e-Visa before the trip.
Moroccan passport holders dreaming of Bali, the volcanoes of Java or the reefs of Sulawesi must obtain a tourist visa. Indonesia has moved the process online, onto the Directorate General of Immigration's e-Visa portal. A visa on arrival is offered at some airports, but the e-Visa requested from Morocco remains the most reliable route.
Do you need a visa?
Yes. Moroccan citizens must hold a visa before entering Indonesia for a tourist stay. The usual format is the electronic e-Visa, requested online. At the main entry points (Denpasar, Jakarta) a visa on arrival may also be issued, but preparing the e-Visa in advance avoids any surprise at the counter.
How and where to apply
From Casablanca, Rabat or Marrakech, the application is completed entirely at evisa.imigrasi.go.id. Create an account, fill in the form, attach your supporting documents and pay the fee with an international bank card. The e-Visa is then emailed to you — no visit to the Indonesian embassy in Rabat is required.
Documents and fees
Prepare a Moroccan passport valid for at least six months beyond arrival, a recent photo, a scan of the bio page and a card that allows international online payments. A return ticket and a hotel booking may be requested. As the exact rate and validity period are not confirmed here, check the official portal.
Processing and tips
Processing time is not guaranteed by our source, so submit your e-Visa several days before your flight out of Morocco. Check that your card allows international transactions before paying. Carry the authorisation both printed and on your phone for boarding and the check on arrival.
Common mistakes
Do not take visa on arrival for granted: it is available only at certain entry points and the rules can change. Avoid online intermediaries that inflate the fees; evisa.imigrasi.go.id is the only official source. A passport valid for less than six months remains a frequent ground for refusal for Moroccan travellers.
