Yes. Dominican citizens are not among the nationalities exempted from a visa for Indonesia: you must hold a valid visa before you arrive. The simplest option is the e-Visa, an electronic visa applied for online that covers tourism and short stays, among other purposes. Arrange your visa before departure rather than relying on an airport counter.

The published fee is the government charge alone. Two or three other lines are added before the visa is in the passport, and they are what makes the final bill.

Have a Dominican passport valid for at least 6 months on the date of entry with blank pages, a compliant ID photo, a return or onward ticket and, in many cases, proof of accommodation and of sufficient funds. The e-Visa fee is paid online by card. You apply online on Indonesia's official immigration portal, evisa.imigrasi.go.id. You create an account, choose the visa category matching your trip, enter your passport details, upload your photo and the passport bio-data page, then pay the fee by card. There is an alternative: lodging a file with the Indonesian embassy or consulate responsible for the Dominican Republic. Either way, start the process well before you travel.

The regime follows your nationality, not where you live. If you reside in the Dominican Republic but travel on another country's passport, the rule on this page is not yours. Filing usually still happens from your country of residence, at the post competent for it, but the requirement itself comes from your passport.

e-Visa processing times vary by category and demand, so submit your application several days (even a few weeks) before departure.
