Yes. Holders of an Egyptian passport must obtain a Schengen short-stay (Type C) visa before travelling to Spain, for up to 90 days within any 180-day period. This visa is not available on arrival; it must be requested from within Egypt through the Spanish consular service.

The Consulate General of Spain in Cairo outsources application intake to BLS International. You book an appointment, submit your file, and give your biometric data in person. Spain must be your main destination, or your first point of entry into Schengen, to be the country that decides your application.

Many refusals result from non-compliant insurance or weak proof of funds and of ties returning you to Egypt. Make sure your itinerary genuinely reflects a mainly-Spanish trip. Do not apply to Spain if your journey is spent mostly in another Schengen country.
